Designed primarily for car auctions many features of the system suit volume sales of used cars:
Transport requests to pickup a vehicle can be entered via AutoFleet, a vendor reporting system.
Buyers at auctions, tenders and car yards can book in vehicles using hand-held devices. Automatically uploaded via the internet.
Vehicles when they arrive are booked in and inspected using hand-helds. Inspections can be approved for rectification by the vendor online. Once approved they are automatically converted to purchase orders for sub-contractors.
Hand-helds are used to track vehicles on and off the site, mark off repairs as they are completed, compile catalogues for auction and weekly stock take checks.
Once repaired and detailed the vehicles are taken to the automatic photo bay where up to 8 photographs are taken and uploaded to the company's web site and advertising sites such as Drive.com and Carsales.com
Vendors can log onto AutoFleet view pre and post auction reports including sales advices and remittances. Vendors can book transport requests, approve rectification, enter reserves and release vehicles for sale.
Fully integrated with Bidsonline's simulcast and online auctions. Internet bidders can bid online prior to the auction, the highest bid is carried forward to the simulcast auction. During the simulcast the system automatically bids on behalf of internet bidders who placed an internet bid.
The financial system is fully integrated with the day to day operations. A separate trust ledger is maintained for consigned vehicles.
